Counseling

The church exist not for itself. We desire to meet individual needs through relationships with others in community. Much informal counseling takes place in our small groups, but when additional counseling is needed, our pastoral staff exist to meet the emotional and spiritual needs of the church. Shelby Crossings also refers members facing a variety of issues to these two outstanding ministries who offer biblical counseling for those seeking healing, freedom, and wisdom: 
 
Pathway offers Christ-centered counseling for children, youth, unmarried adults, married adults individually, married adults as couples, and families. They are located in both Birmingham and Columbiana. 
 
Covenant Counseling's licensed professional counselors regularly addresses abusive relationships, addictions, anger, anxiety, boundaries, codependency, depression, eating disorders, father-son issues, grief, homosexuality, infidelity, stress, marital conflict, parenting, purpose/calling, relationships, sexual addiction, spiritual freedom, sexual identity issues, and substance abuse. They are located in Homewood. 
 

Financial Assistance

We desire to meet the needs of those in our body and community who are enduring difficult times. Our desire is not to only assist you financially, but provide community and friendship for support and spiritual mentoring. If you are experiencing financial difficulty and need help. Here is what you need to do:

Please fill out the application here and email it to missions@shelbycrossings.com or drop it by the church office. Once your application has been submitted, you will hear something back from us in the next few weeks. In order to receive assistance, we ask that you meet with one of our staff who will offer spiritual encouragement and guidance during this time of difficulty. 
 

Hospital & Home Visits

Shelby Crossings strives to take care of each other's needs. If you or a loved one has been hospitalized, please do not hesitate to call on the faith family for support. If you are in a small group, make your small group leader aware. You may also contact the church office to make the staff aware for prayer and visitation. Contact us at 205.690.8260.
